Seeing the Bigger Picture

Regular eye exams are about more than just your vision.

Lennox’s vision plan includes one $5 in-network preventive care exam each year.

Keep in mind, if you choose an in-network PLUS provider, your eye exam will be free!

Detect vision issues early.

An annual eye exam can help you detect common vision issues early before they worsen, such as:

  • Nearsightedness: You see near objects clearly, but distant objects are blurry.
  • Farsightedness: You see distant objects clearly, but close-up things are blurry.
  • Dry eyes: When your eyes don’t make enough quality tears to lubricate and nourish the eye.
  • Astigmatism: When a part of your eye (either the cornea or lens) is more curved than it should be.
  • Cataracts: When the eye lens becomes cloudy, leading to blurred or dimmed vision.
  • Glaucoma: A group of eye diseases that can quietly damage the optic nerve, potentially causing vision loss.
  • Diabetic retinopathy: A diabetes-related condition that damages the retina and can result in vision loss.

Eye exams can reveal much more than just blurry vision.

One key benefit of preventive eye care is that it lets a specialist examine blood vessels, nerves, and other structures inside your eye. It’s possible that a change in the eye may indicate a change in the body.

Health conditions that have been detected through the eyes before other symptoms appear include thyroid issues, diabetes, liver disease, heart disease, hypertension, and autoimmune disorders.

Is it time to update your prescription?

In addition to getting your current prescription updated or correcting your vision for the first time, your annual eyecare appointment is a perfect time to upgrade your eyewear.
